  1. Hi, Brandy! Michele Dupey, here.
Thank you for letting me into your world. You are a very articulate writer, full of vivid descriptions, with an unbounded enthusiasm and unlimited courage to march forth into the void that is your particular case of multiple sclerosis.
Oh! How you’ve helped me understand what my husband Ray has ever gone through! To refresh your memory, Ray has been in a nursing home for over three years for his MS (and now, a diagnosis of prostate cancer). I’ve known him for 10 years and early on, Ray would describe such oddities as feeling the hair in his beard grow (!) and that he would rebuff me when I would try to hug or kiss him. Apparently, Ray couldn’t take the physical pressure of either action. As you can imagine, at that time I didn’t understand what he was going through, and many times, I just plain felt rejected.
Recently, I told Ray of your blog and apologized to him for not understanding. He made the sign of the cross and absolved me! LOL
Your detailed descriptions allow me to enter a world I never could have imagined. My heart goes out to you. Your diagnosis happened just as you left NOW-NJ? Man! From the frying pan into the fire… I’m so happy for you that your perseverance got you some health insurance. Brandy, I’ll keep you in my prayers.
    Yours in feminist/MS sisterhood,
    Michele

    1. Michele, I am in tears over your comment. Thank you so much. It means the world to me and I am so happy that I am teaching people about MS through my journey. This is why I decided to write. So many people message me and or say to me that they had no idea what MS until they starting reading my blog. Once I am feeling better, I am going to throw my MS activist hat on. There are a ton of things that we need to fight for or against.

And you are right about the frying pan to the fire! LOL!

Thank you again. I hope to someday see you again. ❤️

      In Solidarity,
      Brandy
